Do you have to know everything about horses in order to volunteer at McKeever's First Ride? Absolutely not! The most important talent of a MFR Volunteer is to be welcoming to guests and sensitive to their preferences.
Volunteers at McKeever's First Ride fill positions in a variety of stations: Adaptive riding, arts & crafts, horse grooming, caregiver networking, Teen McKeever activities, mini horse play, petting zoo, hospitality, registration, environmental services, set up/clean up, publicity, first aid, massage therapy, refreshments, and traffic flow.
If any of these areas appeal to you, please consider becoming a McKeever volunteer! Our volunteers are integral to the success of McKeever's First Ride, because they embody the enthusiasm, warmth, and confidence that makes every guest feel safe and special at McKeever's First Ride!
