Kenney Orthopedics and Keeneland hosted a McKeever's First Ride Monday, June 20 from 10 am to 1 pm at Blue Willow Farm. Equine therapy, grooming and groundwork, arts and crafts and Horse of a Different Color were all be part of the day.

"When I was 15 years old I was diagnosed with bone cancer in my leg and they ultimately had to amputate my leg," Dawson said. A new program is helping those with mobility challenges take part in a popular activity here in the Bluegrass. Blue Willow Farm in Versailles partnered with the Orthotic and Prosthetic Activities Foundation, Kenney Orthopedics and Keeneland to host the program 'McKeever’s First Ride.' “It's designed to take care of people with disabilities and amputation that never had the opportunity to ride a horse,” said Mo Kenney, President of Kenney Orthopedics.
